WOW!  Do we have a program for Children!

 Beginning this Fall, we’ll be introducing WoRMs! in our Sunday School.  That’s right - Workshop Rotation Modules -  a plan wherein the children study a Bible story or a theme for a whole month, participating in different workshops related to the topic – art, drama, music, storytelling.  In 2007-08, our theme is “Journeys of Faith.” We’ll be learning about Joseph, making a Succoth Booth, and participating in baking bread for World Wide Communion.

 Children worship with their parents during the first part of the service. Worship Bags and Children’s Bulletins are provided to entertain children and teach them about worship.  Little stuffed animals called Pew Pals are scattered throughout the sanctuary for the enjoyment of people of any age. Children are involved in worship as Acolytes and Ushers, and one of the Scripture lessons is usually read by a child.  Following the Children’s Sermon, children age 3 through 8^th grade go upstairs for special activities from 10:30 until 11:15.

 Professional nursery care is provided for newborns through Age 3.  Care-givers are carefully screened and, like anyone who works in any capacity with children, they receive training in our Child Protection Policy.
